About Me

My Philosophy

I believe that all students are capable of learning and that they can do anything they put their minds to.  I believe that students need opportunities to prove what they can do.  In my classroom, I will provide a safe and caring environment where students will have opportunities to explore, learn, grow, share and achieve.

Educational Background

This is my 17th year teaching in the Ladue School District and my tenth year at the FGC.  I earned my Bachelor's Degree at Fontbonne University and my Master's Degree from UMSL.  I am very lucky to be able to teach science because it is my favorite subject!  I provide plenty of hands-on learning opportunities, and I love to see students' faces light up when they make a new discovery!

Getting to Know Me on a Personal Level

My family life is a source of great enjoyment and inspiration.  We spend as much time together as we can doing the things we love.  We love to be outdoors.  Whether we are backpacking through the woods, camping at a state park, or hanging out in the backyard, we always have a good time.  We also enjoy playing games, watching movies, and cooking together.  We like to take road trips, and have traveled to places near and far.  Some of our favorite road trips have been to Perdido Key, Florida and Niagara Falls, New York.

Some of my personal hobbies include reading, running, playing ice hockey, cooking, and baking.  I also do a variety of DIY craft hobbies.
